Omega Beta Beta chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. working in conjunction with the Bridge Builder Foundation to identify and award eligible scholarship applicants. The organizations provide annual scholarships to deserving high school graduating seniors. Scholarships are not restricted to particular majors of study and is open to all graduating high school students with a minimum of a 3.0 GPA. Foundation scholarships are merit-based, recognizing outstanding academic achievement.

Description and Requirements

1. Awards ranging from one thousand dollars ($1,000) will be awarded to graduating high school seniors selected by the scholarship committee. Applicants must be attending high school in Orange or Seminole counties.

2. The announcement of scholarship winners will be made at your local high school awards ceremony. Please verify with your college/career representative to verify date and time for your awards night.

3. Each applicant must provide the following before being considered:
(a) Completed the scholarship application
(b) Copy of official high school transcript
(c) Two letters of recommendation from school, church, or community representative.
(d) Documentation of active involvement in community service and/or extracurricular activities, such as social clubs, civic groups, sports, or vocational activities not necessarily directly related to school functions.
(e) Write a 500 word essay on: “What actions can you take to promote social justice and embrace diversity of all people?”
(f) Essay must be typed, double spaced, Times New Romans, 12pt. font.
(g) Include a senior picture with the application.
(h) All of the aforementioned documents must be scanned and emailed to or by April 15, 2021.
